MacKenzie Scott is at it again with another massive charitable donation, even as her ex-husband Jeff Bezos receives a "Prophet of Philanthropy" award at the Vatican. The novelist and philanthropist has donated $84.5 million to Girl Scouts of the USA, which credits her with the largest single-donor gift the organization has ever received.

Scott's donation will go out to 29 local councils along with the national chapter. Girl Scouts CEO Sofia Chang said in a statement: "This is a great accelerator for our ongoing efforts to help girls cultivate the skills and connections needed to lead in their own communities and globally."

Scott's donation to the world's largest organization for girls is just her latest grand philanthropic gesture. Last week, she donated $15 million to provide farmers in developing countries with glasses through the nonprofit VisionSpring. In total, Scott has donated $12.8 billion of her $38 billion divorce settlement to more than 1,200 organizations.
