Taco Bell fans will have something new and more than a little unexpected to gnaw on this week: chicken wings.

Despite a pandemic-related shortage and price hike on wings, the chain is betting that its new wings will go over better than its dubious take on the fried chicken sandwich. But like most Taco Bell specialty items, the wings are only going to be available for a limited time — in this case, just a single week.
Starting Jan. 6, customers can get an order of five bone-in wings after 2 p.m for $6. The Taco Bell twist on this familiar favorite? They're seasoned with a Mexican spice blend inspired by queso cheese dip, and they come with a cup of spicy ranch sauce for dipping.

The wings were tested at select California locations last year, and were a hit with some reviewers. If you'd like to get your hands on some, plan to go soon, because it's possible the wings will sell out before the week is up. It just goes to show that maybe those odd Taco Bell-KFC combo restaurants were on to something, after all.
