From savings at Whole Foods to bargains on furniture, Amazon Prime Day promises plenty of deals for the home. Here are some of the biggest markdowns we're anticipating, based on past Prime Day sales. Small household appliances have also come in for solid savings during Amazon's deal fest, particularly on blenders, coffee makers, and other countertop appliances. Already, you can find early savings of nearly $100 off this Vitamix blender. Based on what we say last year, expect more Prime Day deals to pop up on small appliances, such as the Oster Dura Ceramic Air Fryer, which was also marked down in 2019 to $108 from $141.

Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker

We saw discounts (briefly) up to 50% on this sous vide cooker last Prime Day. This year, Amazon isn't waiting to mark down this kitchen gadget by one-third. Insert the cooker into a pot, set the cooking time, and use the accompanying app to monitor your meal.

Instant Pots

Instant Pots have been a hot Prime Day and holiday gift item for a couple of years now. In 2019, the price of the 6-quart Instant Pot Duo 60 was slashed in half for Prime Day ($50 instead of $100). It's a safe bet that you'll see similar deals this year; at the time of writing, the Duo 60 was selling for $80.

Last year, Prime Day was held in July, just as back-to-school shopping season was beginning, and we saw discounts up to 30% on supplies like Adidas backpacks, clothing, shoes, and accessories. This year, you may not have to wait to save. Already, the sale price of an Adidas Foundation backpack is a few dollars lower than it was during Prime Day 2019.

Furniture and Decor

Amazon's own brands include Rivet furniture and home decor, which features a midcentury modern design with industrial accents, and Stone & Beam, which offers cozy, family-inspired comfort with vintage inspiration (think: velvet sofas, leather ottomans, bronze lighting). Both product lines saw discounts of 25% or more for Prime Day last year.

Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

If cleaning isn't your thing, then Prime Day is worth your time. Shoppers saw steep discounts on robotic vacuums such as the iRobot Roomba 690, which was marked down to $230 from $375. That model is now discontinued, but you can bet other robotic vacs by iRobot, Eufy, and Ecovacs will be on sale.

Home Wi-Fi Systems

All those smart home gadgets won't work without a reliable internet connection, so be on the lookout for marked-down household Wi-Fi networks. In 2019, an Alexa-compatible router with three satellite units was marked down 30%. Similar multi-router sets should be on sale this Prime Day.

DeWalt Drill Driver/Impact Combo Kit

Amazon is already marking down select tool sets, including this DeWalt drill/driver set, which comes with a 21-piece drill bit kit and carrying case. Keep your eyes open for other deals on tools as Prime Day approaches. Last year, the Crescent 170-Piece Mechanics Tool Set was marked down to just $77 from $206. It has all the wrenches, ratchets, and sockets you need, with pliers and screwdrivers thrown in for good measure. The same tool kit is currently selling for around $135.

Amazon Pantry

Amazon Pantry will pack up a bunch of small, non-perishable grocery items for you and ship them for a flat rate — or free, if you buy the right items. Shipping is included when you spend $35 or more; otherwise, it's $5.99. Last year, Pantry members could save $10 on orders of more than $40 with a promo code at checkout. And now you no longer have to buy a separate Pantry membership.

Whole Foods Market

Last year, Prime members enjoyed a week of savings, with an additional 10% off sale items and other featured discounts at Whole Foods Market (in-store). Amazon Prime Rewards card members with an eligible Prime membership also received 10% cash back when shopping at Whole Foods. Last year, the best-selling deal was for organic strawberries, the company said.

Amazon Credits

On Prime Days past, Amazon has offered a handful of credits to members to entice them to spend more. Perks have included a $10 credit for new Amazon app users after signing in for the first time and another $10 to spend after making their first in-app purchase. Last year, Prime members who made a Whole Foods purchase of $10 or more, either in store or via Prime Now, also received a $10 Amazon credit to spend during the Prime Day sale event.

Dog and Cat Food

Amazon knows that pet owners tend to be repeat customers, so it offers them a broad range of pet food products. In the past, it has tried to woo them with discounts of 20% or more.
