While most Oscar nominees wear expensive, designer duds to the awards show, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" co-writer and co-director Daniel Scheinert went in another, cheaper direction. He wore a tux he had bought from the Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro, Alabama.

The Unclaimed Baggage Store sells items found in bags that have been abandoned for more than 90 days by travelers (despite best efforts by airlines to reunite them with customers). About one-third of the contents go to charity, one-third are recycled, and another third are offered for sale at the store and online.

Though prices aren't dirt cheap (a pair of 2018 Louis Vuitton sandal heels are on clearance for $412), shoppers can find deals on both used and new items. According to the website, roughly 10% of the unclaimed bags received include recently purchased items with tags still attached, and the store also receives unclaimed cargo items that were lost in shipment. While you may want to steer clear of some items, the store has a wide selection, much of which you can search online by filtering on size. You aren't likely to find an Oscar in the racks, but you might find something you still want to take home.
