There's no denying the fact that hanging curtains is one of those terribly tricky yet entirely necessary household tasks that many of us will just as easily find ourselves proactively avoiding than actually addressing.

Thankfully, a viral TikTok from @ElizabethVilla16 has surfaced from the furthest reaches of the ever chaotic, occasionally informative, predictably ridiculous depths of planet TikTok to clarify for us all just how you're supposed to be hanging curtains around your home.

The video is seemingly simple enough. She proceeds to pick out a curtain rod which already has curtains on it on one end of the rod. She then works at moving the remaining part of the curtains so that they manage to hide the end of the rod holder, and then puts the rod back down.

Previously, it was not effectively covering the rod holder. In an animated caption she exclaims, "I swear I've been living under a rock!"

Villa also chose to use the widely popular TikTok sound from the well-known creator Kelly Hurst (@thelifebath). As can be see in her dueted video, Hurst, who hails from Newcastle, says, "Show me the life hack that you randomly saw one day, that is now an unconscious standard practice in your life."

Villa adeptly uses this sound paired with another overlaid, saying, "Are you kidding me right now?"

There's no shame in realizing that you've been unknowingly leading a lifestyle that could've been made just a bit more efficient and less prone toward problems by simply using products and other everyday items as they were designed to be used
