A-List Autos

Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton could have used his bottomless fortune to buy any car in the world, but he chose to drive his Ford F-150 from the time he bought it in 1979 until his death in 1992. The famously frugal and unassuming Walton, however, is the exception, not the rule. For the world's rich, famous, elite, and envied, great wealth usually brings great (and expensive) cars. Some turn their enviable means into outrageous collections of automobiles of all shapes, sizes, eras, and makers. Here's a look at the world's top celebrity car collections.

Jerry Seinfeld

One of the few people on Earth whose car collection can compete with Jay Leno's also made his fortune by making people laugh. According to AutoWise, comedian Jerry Seinfeld spent $1.4 million on the private garage used to house his babies. It's got an 850-square foot living space, an elevator, and a club room with a pool table. He also employs a dedicated "fleet management" team to keep his autos running in tip-top shape. Seinfeld, who sold $22 million worth of cars in 2016 alone, has a well-known love for Porsches, but he'll never own a Lexus. You can see some of his rare and unique inventory on the Netflix show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

Lady Gaga

The Lamborghini Huracán that Lady Gaga drove to her 2017 Super Bowl Halftime performance in Houston wasn't a loaner — but no one has been able to pin down how many cars the rock star and actor owns, just some of the highlights that she's been spotted in since getting her drivers license in 2016, as she turned 30. (Like all of us, she took the test in a shiny, white Mercedes-Benz E350.) In addition to those, she owns classic cars including a ’70 Chevy El Camino and mint-blue Chevy Nova SS, 1965 Lincoln Continental, and ivy-green 1967 Ford Mustang, as well as a baby blue Ford Bronco and 1993 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning. On the luxurious side, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta also has an Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz W123, Porsche Boxster, and two Rolls-Royce Phantoms.

Jay Leno

Comedian and longtime "The Tonight Show" host Jay Leno took the mantle from none other than Johnny Carson, and his success earned him one of the world's most celebrated car collections. More than 180 cars strong (with even more motorcycles), the funnyman's fleet is worth a minimum estimated $50 million — and maybe as much as twice that. It contains gems such as a 1912 Stanley Steamer Vanderbilt Cup Racer, a steam-powered antique that earned Leno a speeding ticket in 2010 when he was busted cranking it all the way up to 75 mph, according to Autoblog. One of the crown jewels in his collection is a 1994 McLaren F1, which he bought for $800,000 but which is now worth an estimated $12 million. According to CNN, it's the first car Leno would save in case of a fire.

Tom Brady

All those Super Bowl rings — and the probable title of greatest quarterback of all time — have earned famed New England Patriots player Tom Brady a nine-figure net worth and an impressive collection of fine automobiles. The first luxury vehicle he ever owned was a 2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV, but he didn't buy it. Brady won the car as a rookie when he was named Super Bowl MVP. He doesn't limit himself to big cars only. Among his finest are a 2015 Ferrari M458-T, a 2017 Aston Martin DB11, and a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

Floyd Mayweather

Floyd "Money" Mayweather puts his nickname on display every time he gets behind the wheel. Arguably the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of all time, the undefeated retired champion buys exotic cars that involve numbers that boggle the mind. His Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, for example, cranks out 1,018 horsepower, goes from zero to 60 in less than 2.9 seconds, and set him back $4.8 million. Mayweather's Bugatti Chiron generates 1,479 horsepower, cost $3.5 million, and maxes out at 267 mph.

Kim Kardashian

Never one to shy away from the spotlight, reality TV star Kim Kardashian is no stranger to flashy high-end automobiles. Among the enviable rides that have been spotted in her fleet over the years are a Ferrari 458 Italia, a Mercedes Maybach, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and a Rolls-Royce Ghost.

Beyonce Knowles

Jay-Z and Beyonce are an entertainment power couple with more amazing cars than you can drive — and Queen B has been seen in the driver’s seat of some of the choicest selections. An Alfa Romeo Spider is part of her collection, as is Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. If that weren’t enough there’s also the Ferrari F430 Spider, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, and the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport that she bought for Jay-Z.

Ralph Lauren

Dubbed by Forbes to be "art you can drive," fashion icon Ralph Lauren's car collection began with a 1971 Mercedes 280SE 4.5 convertible — 1971 is the same year he opened his first Polo boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Exactly 45 years later in 2016, Forbes estimated his $300 million car collection to be possibly the most valuable in the world (and now it's worth around $350 million). In 2011, the Louvre exhibited 17 of his choicest vehicles, including a 1929 Bentley 4.5-liter "Blower," which competed in the 1930, 1932, and 1933 24 Hours of Le Mans, the oldest car race in the world.

David Beckham is arguably the most famous living soccer player and half of one of the world's biggest power couples — he's married to fashion powerhouse and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. Although the retired footballer's car collection includes royalty-worthy rides like a Rolls-Royce Drop Head Coupe and a Bentley Mulsanne, he also owns a few cars that are accessible to the common mortal, including a $55,000 Camaro and a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Gabriel Iglesias

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias bought his first car at the age of 17 — a 1968 VW Transporter, according to Volkswagen. The funnyman known as Fluffy was so enamored with his original ride that once he hit the big time, he built a $3 million collection of rare, rebuilt, and reclaimed VW buses and Beetles. He even built his own Volkswagen museum — designed as a replica of the Volkswagen factory in Germany — where he stores his fleet.

Rowan Atkinson

Rowan Atkinson rose to fame on the popularity of "Mr. Bean," a bumbling and frumpy TV character who would earn Atkinson a car collection that is anything but. According to HotCars, Atkinson's passion is driving. His cars are seen roaring on the road, not tucked away in a climate-controlled storage facility — in fact, he crashed his McLaren F1 not once, but twice. Although he'll never include a Porsche in his lineup, Atkinson lays claim to some of the finest cars in the world, including one of only 20 Lancia Themas in the U.K.

Donald Trump

Before the Secret Service was driving him around, former President Donald Trump was an extravagant celebrity who was known, in part, for showcasing his wealth at every turn. His fleet of Rolls-Royce limos and luxury vehicles helped him craft that image. According to AutoWise, one of the future president's very first cars was a 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, and Trump later commissioned Rolls to build an exact replica of the original he loved so much. He's also reported to own a $500,000 2015 Rolls Royce-Phantom, which does zero to 60 in less than six seconds despite its massive 3-ton heft.

Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres is married to a woman named Portia de Rossi, whose first name is pronounced just like the famous high-performance automaker. The groundbreaking comedian and dancing talk show host might just have an affinity for the name, as her car collection includes a Porsche 993 and a Porsche Targa 4S, and she’s been spotted driving various other Porsche models over the years. She isn’t, however, a one-brand auto enthusiast — she’s been seen zooming around in a Ferrari California.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is probably best known for her powder pink Bentley Continental, but she went a shade darker to bullseye red when it came time to buy a Ferrari California. Over the years, she’s also been spotted in a black Rolls-Royce Ghost, a white Lexus LFA, and a black McLaren 650S Spider.

John Cena

WWE superstar John Cena has the car collection you might expect from a human wall of muscle who smashes other giants for a living. Most are big, growling, macho muscle cars like the rare 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rallye 350 and the 1970 AMC Rebel, a.k.a. "The Machine." There's also plenty of speed and precision thanks to selections such as the 2017 Ford GT and the 2006 Dodge Viper. Cena, however, is an everyman at heart. One of his most cherished cars remains the 1989 Jeep Wrangler he bought with his first WWE paycheck.

Justin Bieber

For his 18th birthday, Justin Bieber's manager reportedly bought the superstar singer a chrome-wrapped Fisker Karma with a solar-cell roof, the most exclusive plug-in hybrid of its time. Since then, the Biebs has matured and so has his car collection. Along the way, Bieber’s picked up a Porsche 997 Turbo, a Ferrari F430, a Lamborghini Aventador, and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. There's also a super-small smart Fortwo, a gargantuan Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van, and the futuristic car-motorcycle hybrid Campagna T-Rex 14R.

The Sultan of Brunei

Hassanal Bolkiah, the sultan of Brunei, has an estimated $20 billion, so it probably means little to him to own a staggering 7,000 cars, including Bugattis, Ferraris (he reportedly gave a $1 billion gift to a nephew turning 18 that included a custom, semi-automatic Ferrari, and bought all six Ferrari Testarossa F90 Speciales ever made), Koenigseggs, Lamborghinis, McLarens, and Rolls-Royces. But Ferrari broker Michael Sheehan has reported something likely to drive car lovers crazy: The collection — including 600 of those Rolls-Royces — were left to rot, "cooking into goo" in a storage facility where the air-conditioning had been turned off.
