Morning Madness

Every family does morning differently. Whether you're always in a rush from the moment you wake up or you prefer a leisurely breakfast, Trader Joe's has products that'll fit the bill for your morning. There's frozen convenience foods, inexpensive versions of pricey splurges, and plenty of staples to choose from. Next time you head to Trader Joe's, put some of these popular and delicious breakfast items on your shopping list.

Trader Joe's

1. Hashbrowns

$2.79 for 10 patties

These hash brown patties are legit. If you have the means (and desire) to deep fry them, they're very similar to McDonald's hash browns. But an air fryer or frying pan will also yield great results.

2. Chocolate Croissants

$5.49 for four croissants

Make your house smell like a French bakery with these amazing chocolate croissants. They bake up buttery and flaky, with a filling of dark chocolate for a great weekend brunch.

4. Egg Bites

$3.49 for two egg bites

Move over, Starbucks. There's two kinds of Egg Bites at Trader Joe's (cheddar and uncured bacon, and cheese, spinach, and kale) and both are just as good as the expensive ones at the drive-thru.

Trader Joe's

5. Blueberry Muffin Mix

$4.49 for 18 ounces

This blueberry muffin mix tastes like it's from scratch. It includes freeze dried blueberries that you rehydrate before mixing in so they're plump and have great flavor.

Trader Joe's

6. Wild Sockeye Smoked Salmon

$8 for 4 ounces

Smoked salmon and bagels is one of life's best breakfast foods, but salmon can be very expensive. This smoked sockeye salmon is great quality and thinly sliced, and a great price too.

Trader Joe's

7. Quiche Lorraine

$6 for 12 ounces

This frozen ham and Swiss cheese quiche is fully cooked so all you have to do is reheat it in the oven and serve. There's lots of ham in it, the crust is buttery, and it goes great with fresh fruit or a salad.

Trader Joe's

8. Maple Poffertjes

$3.49 for 10.76 ounces

These Maple Poffertjes are puffy, mini pancakes popular in the Netherlands in wintertime. They're flavored with maple sugar, and all you have to do is pop them in the microwave to heat them before popping them in your mouth for a fast breakfast.

Trader Joe's

9. Uncured Dry Rubbed Sliced Bacon

$6 for 12 ounces

Bacon is a must for breakfast, and TJ's version is no slouch. It's free of nitrates and antibiotics, and has a savory, sweet, and smoky flavor when it's cooked up.

10. Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

$2 for 2.3 ounces

This is one of TJ's most talked-about items. It's the seasoning that goes on everything bagels — seeds, garlic, and onions — but in a form that you can season anything with. Try it on avocado toast, eggs, and smoked salmon.

Trader Joe's

11. Maple Pecan Clusters Cereal

$4.49 for 20 ounces

Sometimes cereal is all you have time for in the morning, so you might as well make it as tasty as possible with these Maple Pecan Clusters. This cereal features corn flakes plus maple-flavored pecan oat clusters.

Trader Joe's

12. Organic Silver Dollar Pancakes

$3.29 for 11.64 ounces

Little hands love dipping these cute little frozen silver dollar pancakes in syrup or jam. They're way faster than making them yourself, and they're organic to boot.

13. Organic Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls

$5 for 17.5 ounces

Who doesn't keep a tube of cinnamon rolls in the fridge from breakfast emergencies?! These are jumbo sized, and full of lots of cinnamon goo swirled in each bun.

Trader Joe's

14. Greek Yogurt with Honey

$5.49 for 32 ounces

Greek yogurt and honey is a great combination, but you don't always see it in the large family-size containers. Eat this straight from the cup, use it with fruit and granola in a parfait, or make smoothies with it.

Trader Joe's

15. Chicken Breakfast Sausage Patties

$3 for 7.8 ounces

Since these sausage patties are fully cooked, it just takes a minute in an air fryer, pan, or microwave to heat them. Since they're made of chicken and not pork, they're a little less unhealthy too.

Trader Joe's

16. Fruits & Greens Smoothie Blend

$4 for 16 ounces

This is a whole smoothie base in a bag. Throw some cubes of the fruit, kale, and spinach mix into a blender along with your liquid of choice, then pulverize into a fast and delicious smoothie.

Trader Joe's

17. Pure Grade A Maple Syrup

$5 for 8 ounces

An American breakfast table isn't complete with maple syrup. This is pure grade A, and it's normally pretty expensive, so at $5, it's a pretty good deal for the real thing.
