From the Melting Pot
The United States is often called a melting pot of cultures, and the adage holds true for our cuisine. Many of the foods “invented” in America are actually reinterpretations and hybrids imported from cultures around the world, reflecting our rich history of immigration. In other words, the origins of "American foods" often start elsewhere. Considering how beloved these foods are, we can only hope international cuisines keep making their way to our tables.
