Walmart is saying no to higher prices for holiday meals. The mega-retailer is selling its Thanksgiving meal baskets at the same cost as last year. The baskets feature traditional Thanksgiving fare, including turkey, ham, potatoes, and stuffing, as well as convenience items like ready-to-heat macaroni and cheese and pre-made pumpkin pie.
And Walmart's not stopping with Thanksgiving. Shoppers can save money on holiday meal items through Dec. 26.
Let’s talk Turkey Day! 🦃 Walmart is removing inflation on an entire basket of traditional Thanksgiving items to ensure you can get this year’s meal at last year’s price. Dig in: https://t.co/LxVvY4V0kc pic.twitter.com/Me886Jb7ix

The company says it began working with its suppliers far in advance to ensure a large selection of holiday meal items. Walmart’s turkey selection is already available in stores and includes whole turkeys selling for less than $1 a pound. Walmart+ members may be able to add additional savings when purchasing holiday meal items by earning Walmart Rewards, which can be used on future purchases.
Walmart isn't the only store embracing inflation reduction and Thanksgiving savings. Aldi is temporarily cutting food prices for Thanksgiving to 2019 levels, and BJ's is offering members a free Thanksgiving turkey when they spend $150 or more in one visit.
