This last decade has undoubtedly given rise to all manners of unexpected, and honestly, occasionally, unfortunate trends. The digital worlds of places like TikTok have certainly given some folks the necessary platform to inspire positive change and actually work to accomplish some good in this wild world.

At the same time, other people have seemingly completely lost themselves to the inevitable ego inflation that can come from assuming you're the main character in everyone else's life story because you have a certain number of followers on a social media account.

Maybe this AskReddit thread-inspired piece will likely leave you nodding in utterly troubled bewilderment.

It's Gotten Out Of Control.

Seriously though. The price points for various concert tickets nowadays have achieved truly unprecedented levels. If you're planning on attending the show of one of your favorite artists and they're at all mainstream, you best be ready to dig deep into your wallet.

YouTube Families Are Something Else.

Not only are YouTube families a profoundly strange development for human beings as social animals in general, but the levels of psychological toxicity that must run rampant behind the scenes can make one shudder to even think about.

Leave The NPCs For The Video Games.

Yeah, so this whole development is especially cringe and we would do well to forget that we ever had people doing this in the first place.

We Don't Need To See Someone Else's Reaction.

You know you've fallen down a particularly ridiculous rabbit hole in the internet when you find yourself possessed by the maddening urge to waste away your day's hours by watching other people react to various things that you yourself could experience.

Ouch.

To think that it's become so difficult to break even on numerous kinds of films nowadays. The film industry is a cutthroat business to say the very least.

(Though we will admit that there are some movie sequels that are better than the original.)

Oh Boy, This Can Be The Worst.

If you've ever made an economically efficient routine out of using public transportation, you've probably endured the highly irritating noise that can be music or a show blaring from someone else's phone or computer nearby, who simply refuses to use earphones. It's truly the worst.

Yeah, That's A Whole Lot Of Nope.

Okay, so this is only deeply terrifying.

Blame It On All The iPads.

I think it's almost like an automated response when we find ourselves signing off on a recent purchase via an iPad at one of the many stores that use them nowadays out of their convenient nature. Granted, there are plenty of folks who do really deserve those tips, but sometimes the "tip" that you might unconsciously green light isn't even going to the business that you're trying to express financial appreciation for.

We've Got To Remain Curious.

You've really got to hope that this isn't true. Curiosity and exploration are key elements in continuing to evolve.

This Ties In With The Bit About People That Refuse To Use Earphones.

Just be kind and considerate. It shouldn't be as hard as some people make it out to be.

Oversharing Can Be A Lot For Other Folks To Handle.

Vulnerability and healthy transparency with your family and/or peers can be great, but there should be some boundaries in place at the same time.
