Just 30 minutes away from downtown Burlington, Vermont, is this tiny mountain cabin on a 20-acre lot. While it's beautiful and well-kept, it's a little more bare bones than some of the others — there's an outhouse, an outdoor shower, and no refrigeration (though a cooler is provided). If you need heat, you'll have to figure out the wood stove. It's near hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, and more, so it's an ideal spot for outdoor recreation lovers.

This tiny house 12 miles off the Mexican border is a 25-minute drive from Big Bend National Park. It's powered by solar and the dome kitchen includes a two-burner propane stove and oven. Its unique design and beautiful desert surroundings got this home featured in HGTV's "Mighty Tiny Houses."

There is also a microwave, a gas camp stove, and both a gas and a charcoal grill.
