The popularity of A-frame cabins soared from the mid-1950s through the 1970s as Americans with disposable income looked for inexpensive ways to build a vacation home. While they might not be as popular today as they once were, there are still a dedicated number of A-frame enthusiasts, many of whom have renovated vintage structures and offered them up for rental on VRBO and Airbnb.
