Canned meat might not have the appeal that fresh cuts from the butcher offer, but that doesn’t mean it should be overlooked. When incorporated properly, it can change the entire trajectory of a dish.

This is a wild one. I can’t say that the visuals of this Filipino-style meatloaf are enough to make me want to start cooking right away, but I’m certainly intrigued. What in the world are raisins doing in this recipe?

3. Filipino Spaghetti

Have you ever been to Jollibee? That’s where I first fell in love with Filipino spaghetti. The sweetness of banana ketchup is the key ingredient here, so if you’re not a ketchup fan, this might not be the dish for you.

4. Breakfast Burritos

This one feels obvious, but I’ve never considered it. Slice a few sausages up, scramble ‘em into some eggs, and fold ‘em into a tortilla with some melty cheese. Make sure you’ve got some pico de gallo on hand.

6. Salchipapas

One of the most common Peruvian street foods you can find is salchipapas, a dish of sliced sausage and golden fries. Originating in Lima, the dish has become immensely popular; you can find it all over South America today. And even more conveniently, you can find it in your own kitchen with this recipe.

7. Classic German Potato Soup

Perhaps a giant sausage floating in your soup isn't the most appealing visual in the world. That's how a lot of German soups roll, but luckily, this recipe calls for sliced Vienna sausages. It's a whole lot more appealing.

8. Sotteok Sotteok

This popular Korean street food is a great use of leftover Vienna sausage, and believe it or not, the ingredients aren’t even that hard to find. You can grab tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes) packaged with the perfect sauce at Trader Joe’s in the frozen section. The skewers themselves might actually be the hardest thing to acquire.

9. Hong Kong-Style Bagged Noodles

It’s common in Hong Kong, especially in the winding, narrow streets of Mong Kok, to find bagged noodles like this. They’re usually served chilled, and Vienna sausages are a common topping in addition to octopus, corn, and a whole lot more.
