Fruity Flavor Fight

Naturally flavored seltzers are all the rage — something you probably know because you haven’t been living under a rock. With zero calories, sodium, or sugar, they make for a perfect alternative to a midday soda. Known for its creative flavor combinations, Aha has been popular since its launch in 2020. Both standard and caffeinated sparkling water are available from the Coca Cola-owned beverage company, and there’s certainly a lot going on, variety-wise. Curious as to which cans are worth the money? Here are seven Aha sparkling water flavors, ranked.

I’m kind of surprised what a huge gap there is between the first and second spot on our list. Citrus Green Tea is everything most Aha flavors aren’t: subtle, delicate, and easy to drink. The green tea flavor itself is honestly a delight. Plus, it’s got 30mg of caffeine in case you’re trying to slam a bunch and get absolutely cranked.

There’s a lot more orange than grapefruit here, but this is tasty, and behind Citrus Green Tea, it’s the mildest flavor Aha’s got. I’d grab it over most of the other ones, though compared to other orange and grapefruit seltzers on the market, this one is undeniably of a lower tier.

3. Peach + Honey

This is actually quite lovely. I would have expected it to be thick and syrupy from the honey, but it’s not at all. The airy peach flavor and the sweet honey really work well. I love to see success on Aha’s part, but I especially love to see it when it’s with a unique flavor combination like this one.

4. Lime + Watermelon

Not bad at all. This is lighter and more refreshing than a lot of the other Aha sparkling water flavors out there, but there’s a burst of lime towards the finish that rings through your mouth for a long while.

blackberry lemon aha sparkling water

5. Blackberry + Lemon

This doesn’t really taste like blackberry or lemon; to be honest, it doesn't taste like anything. This makes for a better drink mixer than a sparkling water.

blueberry pomegranate aha sparkling water

6. Blueberry + Pomegranate

I’m always surprised how well blueberry flavor seems to work in sparkling water. This isn’t as intense or artificial as you might imagine from the color of the can, but there’s a lingering aftertaste that doesn't sit too well with me. I don’t see myself cracking open another.

pineapple passionfruit aha sparkling water

7. Pineapple + Passionfruit

I suppose it makes sense that these beverages are made by Coca Cola. The flavors are far more aggressive than similar brands and of this crime, Pineapple Passionfruit is the most guilty. This is like drinking a soda that somebody sucked all the sugar out of with a big cartoon hose. If other brands are too subtle for you, Aha might be a solid choice. If not, steer clear.
