Over 72,000 pounds of ready-to-eat meat products — including chicken, pork, and beef — have been recalled amid an ongoing nationwide Listeria outbreak that has left one infant dead and 9 others hospitalized.

Yu Shang Food, Inc., a company based in California, is recalling 72,240 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products after being linked to an ongoing listeria outbreak that has sickened 11 people.
On November 21, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) updated the recall, which was initially issued on November 9 and included around 5,000 pounds of meat.
The expansion now includes all items produced before October 28, marked with establishment numbers "P-46684" or "EST. M46684" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
On November 22, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 11 cases of Listeriosis linked to the recalled ready-to-eat meat. The cases were reported across four states, including California, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey. Nine of the infected were hospitalized, and an infant died from the infection.
A California woman pregnant with twins contracted listeria, resulting in the loss of both infants, but only one tested positive for the bacteria and was included in the CDC's case count alongside the mother.
On Monday, the FSIS updated its press release to include a broader recall, adding the following products to the list:
If you have any of the recalled ready-to-eat meat at home, the CDC advises throwing it out or returning it to the store. Clean any surfaces the food may have touched, as listeria can survive in cold environments and spread to other foods.
