1. What Went Wrong?

Four people called the company to complain that the metal straw inside the tumbler cut them. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the straw can cut the mouth and/or fingers, posing a laceration hazard.

2. Which Tumblers Are Recalled?

The 24 oz. plastic tumblers have "Wawa" printed on the side and were sold at Wawa stores in August for $13 each. The tumblers were sold in four styles: "The Mermaid" (pink and green), "Island Surf" (blue and yellow), "Sailor Breeze" (tan and orange), and "The Galaxy" (blue and pink). All have a tan lid.

3. What Can I Do If I Have One?

The Consumer Product Safety Commision advises customers to immediately stop using the recalled metal straw that comes with the tumbler and contact Halo.

Call Halo toll-free at 855-425-6266 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, or send an email to halo.safety@halo.com. You can also find out more online at https://halo.com/safety-recall-24oz-mug/ or http://www.halo.com and click Safety Recall at the bottom of the page.

4. Will The Store Refund My Money?

Better, really. When you contact Halo, the company will provide instructions on how to receive a free silicone straw after returning the metal one. If you don't want to keep the tumbler either, you can return it with the metal straw to get a refund from Halo in the form of a $15 gift card. Customers are advised not to take the tumbler back to Wawa.
