Here's Where Veterans Can Get Free Meals and Discounts on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is Nov. 11, and restaurants and coffee shops around the country are saluting those who served with free coffee, meals, and other tasty items. Here are a few worth checking out if you've served our country in the military. And hoping you can get the freebie even if you haven't served? Most places will ask for some form of ID as proof of veteran status. 

Here are some places offering free cups of Joe, or if you're inclined, a latte. No shame.

• Biggby Coffee: Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free 16oz latte hot/iced/frozen with military ID.
• Bruegger's Bagels: Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase in-store.
• Casey's General Stores:  Past and present service members get a free, any size coffee or fountain drink.
• Einstein Bros. Bagels: Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase in-store.
• Kolache Factory: Veterans and active-duty military receive one free kolache (any kind) and one cup of freshly brewed Katz coffee (any size).
• Peet's Coffee: Veterans get one free drip coffee or tea of any size.
• Starbucks: A free tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee (hot or iced)is available for veterans, military service members, and military spouses.
• Whataburger: Veterans and active-duty military members in uniform or with a valid ID get a free 16-ounce hot or iced Coffee.

Want to grab a free morning meal? If you're a veteran, you can get that on November 11.

• Another Broken Egg Cafe: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Patriot French Toast, topped with strawberries, blueberries and fresh whipped cream, and a house blend coffee.
• Biscuit Belly: Veterans eat free with choice of Bacon Egg & Cheese, Sausage Egg & Cheese, or Chicken Biscuit Sandwich and a hot drip coffee or fountain drink.
• Dennys: Veterans get a free Original Grand Slam.
• Huddle House: Active and retired military get a free MVP Breakfast Platter.
• Krystal: Those who have served our country can get a free breakfast sandwich from opening to 11am.
• IHOP: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Red, White, and Blueberry Pancake Combo.
• Village Inn: Veterans and active-duty military get a free 2-2-2 Breakfast.

If there was ever a time to grab a thick, juicy burger, it's when it's a free one.

• Bar Louie: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free burger.
• Beef 'O' Brady's: Veterans get a free BYOB and fries.
• Eureka!: Veterans get a complimentary Burger.
• Farmer Boys:  On Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free Big Cheese burger.
• Good Times Burgers & Frozen Custard: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Deluxe Cheeseburger combo.
• Johnny Rockets: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Single Burger with the purchase of any drink or shake.

Veterans can grab an entire free meal from any of these eateries, but only on Veterans Day. 

• Applebee's: Veteran and active-duty military receive a free meal from a select menu.
• Bad Daddy's Burger Bar: Veterans and active-duty military get a free 5 oz. BD’s All American Burger with cheese and choice of side.
• Bill Gray's: Veterans get a free World's Greatest Cheeseburger, regular fries, and soda.
• Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a select menu.
• California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military members get a complimentary meal from a select menu.
• Chicken Salad Chick: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal 
• Chili's: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal.
• City Barbecue Veterans and active US military get a free sandwich, one side, and a drink. 
• Claim Jumper:  On Nov. 11, veterans and active military personnel get a complimentary meal from a select menu.
• Duffy's Sports Grill: Veterans get a free meal.
• Eddie Merlot’s: Veterans and active-duty military get the Eddie’s Prime Cheeseburger with Fries for free. 
• Famous Dave's: Veterans get a free Georgia Chopped Pork sandwich and choice of side.
• Fazoli's: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce.
• Food City: Veterans and active-duty military members eat free from the hot bar — one entree, two sides, and a roll.
• Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers -- Veterans and active-duty military personnel wwill receive a meal card valid for a free combo meal of their choice.
• Friendly's: Veterans get a free All American Burger with cheese and a beverage.
• Gold Star Chili: Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary meal of their choice.
• Golden Corral : Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on November 11 from 5pm to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.
• Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant: Veterans and active-duty service members get a complimentary burger or sandwich along with a non-alcoholic beverage.
• In-N-Out Burger: Veterans, active-duty military, reserves and National Guard receive a complimentary meal, including any burger, fries, and beverage.
• J. Christopher's: Veterans get a free meal 
• Logan's Roadhouse: From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., veterans can enjoy a complimentary meal
• Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ: Veterans get a complimentary pulled pork sandwich or personal-sized fried chicken plate.
• Native Grill & Wings: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from the following choices: ½ lb Stripper Combo, a ½ lb Boneless Combo or,  a #MyNative Burger with fries

If the previous ones weren't enough, veterans can get meals at the restaurants below, too.

• Old Chicago: Active-duty military and veterans get a complimentary entrée from an exclusive menu.
• Olive Garden: To thank members of the military for their service, Olive Garden is offering those that dine-in on Nov. 11 a complimentary entrée from a special menu.
• Outback Steakhouse: Active-duty military and veterans get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entree.
• Perry's Pizza: Veterans and active-duty military get a full-size entrée and fountain drink from a special menu.
• Perry's Steakhouse & Grille: Veterans get a free Dinner-Cut Pork Chop when accompanied by a guest purchasing one dinner entree.
• Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military guests can enjoy a complimentary Red's Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Side.
• Rock and Brews: Active-duty military and veterans get complimentary “We Salute You” Pulled Pork Sandwich or Strawberry Fields Salads.
• Ruby Tuesday: Active-duty military and veterans get a free Garden Bar entrée, American Smashed Burger, or Ruby’s Cheeseburger.
• Shane's Rib Shack: Active, inactive, and retired military personnel get a free Slow-Smoked BBQ Pork or Chopped BBQ Chicken Plate
• Sizzler: Participating locations offer a free lunch to any active-duty military or veteran until 4:00 p.m.
• Sullivan’s Steakhouse: Veterans and active-duty military get the Sullivan’s Signature Angus Burger with fries for free.
• Taziki’s: Veterans get a complimentary Grilled chicken gyro meal,
• Texas Roadhouse: At participating locations, active-duty military and veterans can dine in or receive a meal voucher.
• TGI Fridays: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal.
• White Castle: Veterans and active-duty military get a free individual combo meal or a breakfast combo meal.

• Bonefish Grill: Active-duty service members and veterans get a complimentary order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft beverage.
• Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans and active-duty service members get 10 free boneless wings and fries with valid ID.
• Carolina Ale House: Veterans and military members get a free half rack rib platter.
• Cattlemens: Get a complimentary sirloin steak dinner if you sign up before Veterans Day.
• Dave & Buster's: Veterans get a free entree (up to $20) and a free $10 Power Card.
• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Pulled Pork Sandwich
• Hurricane Grill and Wings: Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary entree from a select menu.
