Redditors aren't sure why this is seasonal, and neither are we. If flour and baking powder are available year-round, then why should vanilla bean paste be a seasonal item? Baking isn't a once-a-year hobby.

This Trader Joe's exclusive is a fall favorite among Trader Joe's loyalists. According to the retailer's website, Trader Joe's came up with the idea for the frozen meal after the company's product developer made a too-die-for butternut squash mac and cheese with the store's own canned squash. "Not only did she convince the panel we should offer the puréed product this fall, the panel then convinced her to find a supplier to make the fantastic Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese to offer in our freezers," the website reads.
This thaw-and-serve desert is a favorite with Trader Joe's superfans, who gave it glowing reviews when it debuted this spring. Sadly, it's also a seasonal item.
