Believe it or not, the calendar is about to be turned to November, and while Thanksgiving is late in the month this year, it's never too early to start planning your big holiday meal. If money is tight — or you'd rather just spend your money on Black Friday instead — Target has a fantastic Thanksgiving meal deal available this year. Here's everything the company just announced.
Each year, Target puts together a Thanksgiving meal bundle for a set price. It includes simple and standard items that are on most American Thanksgiving tables so you don't have to think or plan too much, you just have to cook it all for your family.
There are seven items included in Target's Thanksgiving meal deal for a feast of whole turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole. Here's exactly what you get.
According to Target, the meal will feed four people. It can "easily be doubled to serve eight" by purchasing two of each item (except the turkey, just buy a larger one if you like leftovers).
For 2024, Target's Thanksgiving meal deal will cost only $20. That's $5 less than 2023, and works out to just $5 per person, which is pretty hard to beat. Keep in mind that the $20 price is before taxes, and that the turkey price will vary since it's sold by weight.
If all you're interested in is the turkey, Target dropped its prices this year as well. The frozen Good & Gather turkey included in the meal deal is only 79 cents per pound whether you buy the other items or not. That's a 20% reduction in price from last season, according to Target. If you'd like to add appetizers and desserts to your meal, there are many priced $5 or less, including pumpkin pie. It's all part of an effort to reduce prices on 2,000 items in Target stores for the holiday season.
