Two of America's favorite pastimes are coming together for the latest promo at Taco Bell: baseball and tacos.

The company said it's bringing back the annual "steal a base, steal a taco" promotion during this year's World Series. When any player steals a base during the series, Taco Bell gives out free Doritos Locos tacos. That seems like a pretty good reason to pay attention to the World Series, even if you hate baseball.

In past years, there really hasn't been any catch: The Bell just handed out free tacos to whomever, meaning you could get more than one if you wanted to be sneaky about it. This year, however, the free taco only comes as a reward in your Taco Bell app account. That means you have to be a rewards member to get it, which takes some of the fun away, honestly — not to mention your privacy since fast-food giants love collecting your data.

Buy hey, a free taco is a free taco. In a new twist to the annual campaign, if you sign up for a rewards account (or already have one) and choose the correct "taco hero" to steal first base, you'll steal a medium drink to go along with your Doritos Locos. Baja Blast, anyone?

The World Series starts Friday, Oct. 28, and pits the Philadelphia Phillies against the Houston Astros. Regardless of which team you're rooting for — or none at all — it's hard not to cheer for free food.
