It seems like everyone’s on Subway’s nice list, with Christmas arriving early this year. The sandwich chain announced in a press release last week its latest addition to the dessert lineup: the Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie. So, Ho Ho Ho!
Starting November 1, Subway’s Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie hits stores, made with rich double chocolate dough, a touch of peppermint, and sprinkled with chocolate chips and candy cane pieces for a festive crunch.
The peppermint treat isn’t Subway’s first foray into footlong desserts — the footlong version of a chocolate chip cookie debuted earlier this year and was quite the success.
"Since their debut earlier this year, millions of Footlong Cookies have delighted our fans — now we can't wait for them to experience how we've reimagined another classic cookie flavor into even more footlong indulgence," said Paul Fabre, Senior Vice President, Culinary and Innovation at Subway.
The peppermint version of the footlong dessert is, however, Subway’s first official holiday cookie.
Subway fans across the U.S. can grab this cookie from November through December at any Subway location or through their website and app. It’s available for $5, so it’s easy on the wallet and perfect for those looking to sweeten up their lunch without breaking the bank.
Served warm and wrapped in seasonal packaging, it’s a fun twist on Subway’s classic desserts. “The holiday season is synonymous with cookies, making it the perfect time to introduce this new warm, flavor-packed footlong cookie to our snack menu," said Fabre.
