Unlock the Magic

Heading to Disneyland in the near future? A trip to the happiest place on Earth can be made even better when you try an out-of-this-world secret menu treat. The following cocktails, sweet treats, and savory delights are off-the-menu items that just might become your new go-to orders while visiting Mickey Mouse and friends. Remember: Sometimes these little known dishes turn out to be customer creations made famous on social media, so be sure to have the recipe on hand in case your waiter or barista hasn’t heard of it. They are secret menu items, after all.

1. The Neverland Tea at Lamplight Lounge

If secret menu items are your kryptonite but you always feel a little awkward ordering social media customer creations in real life, you’ll want to head to the Lamplight Lounge. This fan-favorite actually has a legitimate secret menu so your waiter will know exactly what you’re talking about when you order your drink. We recommend the Neverland Tea, which is essentially a playful take on a Long Island iced tea. The neon green cocktail is a blend of multiple rums as well as pineapple juice and Sprite.

2. The Black Pearl at Lamplight Lounge

The Black Pearl from the Lamplight Lounge is another secret menu cocktail that is beyond delicious. The cocktail is crafted from a base of Sprite and Chambord and is perfectly sweet with just a hint of bitterness. Keep in mind that secret menu cocktails from the Lamplight Lounge tend to be a little strong, so be sure to stir your drink well before taking your first sip.

3. The Fried Bologna Sandwich at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe

The fried bologna sandwich from Jolly Holiday is a pretty popular secret menu item — it might not even be considered that much of a secret anymore — but that’s because it’s truly a delicious must-try. What’s not to love about the savory, umami-packed punch that is fried bologna on bread?

4. The Elote at Cozy Cone Motel

Did you think you’d have to travel to Mexico to get a good helping of elote? Not if the Cozy Cone Motel has anything to do with it! The snack bar offers three different flavors of elote — the buttered and grilled corn on the cob is available in cheese puff, spicy cheese puff, and cotija (an aged Mexican cheese).

Dole Whip With Candied Bacon

5. Dole Whip With Candied Bacon at Tropical Hideaway

The Tropical Hideaway knows a thing or two about making a really indulgent sweet treat, but this secret menu item will appeal to those with a sweet tooth just as much as those who prefer a savory treat. Ask for your Dole Whip with candied bacon during your next visit for a totally unique, umami-packed culinary adventure.

Zocalo Burrito

6. The Zocalo Burrito at Rancho del Zocalo

Who doesn’t love a packed-to-the-gills burrito? If you’re struggling to decide what to order at Rancho del Zocalo, we suggest opting for the Zocalo burrito. This secret menu item is simple but delicious: It’s a regular burrito with every single topping packed inside. Sure, you could just ask for an everything burrito, but ordering this secret menu item by name shows that you’re in the know.

Alien Pizza Planet

7. The Anaheim Rush at Alien Pizza Planet

Alien Pizza Planet is a counter-service restaurant within Tomorrowland, and it’s exactly where we recommend going if you need a punch of caffeine. The Anaheim Rush is a polarizing secret menu item that you’ll either love or hate. It’s a combination of Coca-Cola, regular drip coffee, and Powerade. If we’re being honest, we also happen to think this is the hangover cure to end all hangover cures.

The Golden Horseshoe

8. The Quilted Pioneer at Golden Horseshoe

The Golden Horseshoe is a cheeky saloon-inspired restaurant that might be most famous for its live country and western musical performances. We happen to think its Quilted Pioneer, a secret menu item comprised of a funnel cake sundae in a waffle cone, rivals even the best live music the restaurant offers.

Carthay Circle Lounge

9. The White Linen at Carthay Circle Lounge

The White Linen from the Carthay Circle Lounge is possibly the most adorable adult beverage you will ever order. The secret menu cocktail is gin-based and garnished with two cucumber slices designed to look like Mickey Mouse ears. Can you say Instagram-friendly?

Pym Test Kitchen

10. The Yellowjacket’s Revenge at Pym Test Kitchen

The Pym Test Kitchen is an Ant-Man and The Wasp-themed bar and restaurant — and it’s as cheeky and adorable as it sounds. The regular drink menu boasts a lot of great items like the blueberry matcha iced latte and the Boulevard Brewing Co. Pineapple Orange Whip Hard Seltzer, but if you want something really unique, opt for the Yellowjacket’s Revenge on the secret menu. This cocktail is essentially a spicy take on a beer mimosa that includes habanero boba and is topped with a spicy tajin rim. We like it quite a bit, as it’s refreshing and not as high in alcohol percentage as some of the other secret menu cocktails.
