If your family eats a lot of bacon, it might be time to check your fridge and freezer.

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon products have been recalled because they may be contaminated with a bacteria that can give you food poisoning, according to an alert from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service.

What’s Wrong With the Bacon?

The turkey bacon products may be contaminated with a bacteria called Listeria monocytogenes. Eating it can cause a serious infection called listeriosis.

So far, there have been no confirmed reports of illnesses related to this recall, according to the FSIS. The potential contamination was found during routine laboratory testing of the products.
