If you ache for an extra patty or two on your McDonald's hamburger, ache no more. The ubiquitous burger chain has added a Triple Cheeseburger to the menu in some U.S. markets for a limited time (though it's been available in some international markets for a while).

Advertised for $2.79, the Triple Cheeseburger is roughly $1 less than the Quarter Pounder and the Big Mac. In addition to its three beef patties and two slices of American cheese, the Triple Cheeseburger features chopped onion, pickles, mustard, and ketchup on a regular bun.

The chances of the Triple Cheeseburger being added to the menu permanently in the U.S. aren't known, but it's been a staple in the U.K. since 2020.
