Do you despise doing laundry? You’re not alone. It's a time-consuming, tedious chore that many people dread. But what if you got paid to do it? Enter SudShare, a laundry service that invites people to make money by washing and folding other people's clothes.

Founded in 2018, SudShare works by connecting people who need their laundry done with others who are willing to do it. The process is simple: Users sign up on the SudShare app and create a profile. Once approved, they can start accepting laundry requests from customers in their area.

Dubbed the Uber of laundry, SudShare can be a great way to earn extra income by using your own washer and dryer to provide laundry services for others. But how does it work exactly, and how much money can you realistically make?

How Does SudShare Work?

The process of becoming a SudShare laundry professional is straightforward. First, download the app and fill out an application to become an independent contractor. Once approved, you will be able to see available jobs in your area — including the type of laundry service requested, location, and how much the job will pay.

When you accept a job, the customer will provide a pick-up time and location, as well as instructions on how they like to have their clothes washed and dried: hot or cold water cycles, machine or hang dry, which items should be washed separately, etc. You can use your own detergent and fabric softener or follow the customer's requests if they have any, such as hypoallergenic detergent or a specific type of fabric softener. SudShare also provides training and support to ensure that workers are equipped to handle all types of laundry and provide high-quality service.

Once you complete the task and drop off the laundry, SudShare will take care of the payment process; you'll receive your payout via direct deposit once a week. The app also provides technical support through its in-app help center for any issues or questions you may have along the way.

How Much Money Can You Make?

The amount of money you can make with SudShare varies depending on the number of jobs you accept and the payout for each job. Since the app calculates payouts based on the weight of the laundry, the more laundry you can handle, the more money you can earn. SudShare also offers a bonus program for workers who complete a certain number of laundry requests within a specified time frame.

According to SudShare, workers can make an average of $15 to $25 per hour, plus tips; with top earners netting over $5,000 a month. Whether you're a stay-at-home parent, a college student, or someone who is looking for a side hustle, SudShare provides a great way to earn extra money in your spare time.
