Jimmy John's Debuts the Picklewich: A Sandwich With a Giant Pickle for Bread

It is not April 1st by our calendar, but Jimmy John's has a brand new sandwich And it's made on an enormous deli pickle. Welcome to the world, Picklewich.

Jimmy John's has decided to toss the traditional idea of making subs on a sub roll aside, and replace that with the next most obvious choice: an enormous dill pickle. The chain has always been known for serving gigantic pickles, but now they're going a step even farther. Acid blast ahoy.

Right now, you can grab two different types of Picklewiches. The Vito, which is the Jimmy John's version of an Italian sub, is available, and so is a classic turkey sub.

These are unsurprisingly a bit smaller than your typical Jimmy John's sandwich, considering their pickles are not as big as a loaf of bread. You're probably not going to be as full afterwards, but that also might be a good thing.

Not sure what year Jimmy John's thinks it is, but they've chosen to market this one with a "Blair Witch Project" parody starring Snooki, of "Jersey Shore" fame. Musta blown the budget on Brad Garrett, I guess.

Yep! On National Sandwich Day (Nov. 3), Jimmy John's will hook up any Freaky Fast Reward Members with 50% an 8-inch sub.
