Here’s a reason for burger lovers to get excited: In-N-Out is opening several new locations. The incredibly popular burger chain always expands slowly, so any new locations are cause for celebration.

Here’s what we know about the new restaurant locations.

What Is In-N-Out?

If you’ve never heard of In-N-Out, you’re not alone. It’s strictly a West Coast thing (though more recently they expanded to Texas), where it has a cult-like following. The company is notorious for controlling every part of the cooking process, including grinding its own beef for its hamburgers and delivering them fresh to its restaurants. It serves a simple menu of burgers, fries, and shakes, and is known for its “double double” (a burger with two patties and two slices of cheese), “animal style” burgers and fries (cooked in mustard with onions), and its long secret menu.

Why Is In-N-Out Expanding?

In-N-Out is popular enough that it could expand across the country, but because the company grinds its own beef and won't freeze it, it won’t expand further from a patty-making facility than a truck can drive in a day. These new locations are within that delivery window, but there are also big plans for the chain to open a corporate office in Nashville in 2026, which also means eastward expansion is probably on the horizon.

Where Are the New In-N-Out Locations?

There are seven new locations of In-N-Out listed as opening soon on the chain’s restaurant locator. Six are located in states that already have locations, but one will be the first location in Washington. Here are the new In-N-Out restaurant locations.

  • Surprise, Arizona: 16440 W. Cactus Road
  • Indio, California: 82177 Ave. 42
  • Modesto, California: 3401 Oakdale Rd.
  • Monrovia, California: 560 W. Huntington Dr.
  • Sylmar, California: 13864 Foothill Blvd.
  • Brighton, Colorado: 3860 Eagle Blvd.
  • Ridgefield, Washington: 5801 Pioneer Canyon Dr.

When Are the New Locations Opening?

Unfortunately we don’t have exact dates yet. But we do know that it usually takes 8 to 9 months for In-N-Out to open a new location once construction has started. We also know that the Ridgefield, Washington location will open sometime this year. (According to Fox 13 Seattle, there is another location planned for Vancouver, but it seems like that one will open later since it is not yet listed on the chain’s website.) It’s probably safe to say that the other locations will be opening by the end of 2025 as well.
