Tupperware stains are a Grade-A anxiety inducer. Something about the color of the tomato sauce and the oily feel on your fingers might make you consider tossing your ‘ware right into the trash. But don’t abandon hope yet: You can still get these things clean with everyday household items. Want to know how to get stains out of Tupperware? Here are four internet-approved methods to clean your plastic containers.
Hand Sanitizer
This makes sense — hand sani is designed to kill anything it touches, right? Coat the bottom of the container with the stuff and let it sit for 45 minutes. Then wipe it clean. Obviously.

Dish Soap and a Paper Towel
TikTok is losing its collective mind for this one. Grab a paper towel, throw a little warm water and dish soap into your plastic container, and shake it well for about a minute.
Lemon
This one's simple: Rub your container with a lemon and let the juices cover it. Let it sit for 15 minutes, and the container should (hopefully) be odor and stain-free.
Baking Soda Paste
Toss a few tablespoons of baking soda in, add enough water to make a paste, and mix. Spread the paste around the container, let it sit for a half hour, and you're in business.
