It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Christmas trees are shining, carolers are singing, everyone’s buying presents, and Wendy’s Frosty key tags are back again. The annual sale is a favorite among Wendy’s die-hard fans because it’ll get you free Frostys for a full calendar year — and your money goes to a good cause. Here’s everything you need to know to score your freebies in 2025.
It’s a small Wendy’s keychain that’s for sale at the end of every year that entitles you to free junior size Frostys for the upcoming calendar year. This year, the tags are shaped like cute little smiling Frosty cups. There’s also a digital version available if you don’t want to carry around a keychain all the time.
This may surprise you, but they’re only $3. We’re always shocked by how few people seem to know about this deal, since it’s one of the best and most reliable deals in fast food. The price of junior-size Frostys can vary by location, but they’re around $1.89. That means you only need to use your key tag twice a year to get your money back. If you tend to visit Wendy’s once a month, you’ll make your $3 back in spades.
If this sounds like a sweet deal, you can grab one starting Dec. 9, 2024. The keychains will be available in Wendy’s restaurants and in the drive-thru, or get the digital version on Wendy’s website or mobile app. They’ll be for sale through Feb. 16, 2025, and will be valid through Dec. 31, 2025.
To get a free junior size Frosty with your key tag, you’ll have to make a purchase at Wendy’s, but it can be anything. And we all know that Frostys are boring without fries for dipping, right? If you have the keychain version, just show it to order in person. If you have the digital version, just apply your key tag as a mobile offer. You can only use it once per visit, but that does mean you can use it more than once per day if you want.
Sure is! According to Wendy’s, 90% of your $3 goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, the charity that the Wendy’s founder started in 1992. He was adopted himself, and created the foundation to help children in foster care find permanent homes.
