Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Outfits Through the Years

It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian is an absolute style icon who's amazed us with her red carpet looks. Some of her best looks have been at the Met Gala, and we rounded up her best red carpet looks at the Costume Institute event through the years. From her iconic Thierry Mugler dress that was made to look like she had just gotten out of the shower (left), to the floral Givenchy gown she wore while pregnant with baby North (right), her dresses have been amazing. Kim always knows how to shock us on the carpet, and she always switches up her style. Whether it’s a skintight mini dress with a corset, a sequined gown, or a completely sheer number, she always slays her looks. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West attended the 2013 Met Gala celebrating the "Punk: Chaos To Couture" exhibition on May 6, 2013. Both Kanye and Kim donned outfits by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. Kim was pregnant with baby North when she donned this long-sleeve floral gown with a hip-high slit on the side of the leg.

Kim Kardashian donned this strapless navy Lanvin gown at the 2014 Met Gala on May 5, 2014. The theme was "Charles James: Beyond Fashion," and she looked gorgeous in this frock with a thick black leather belt cinching in her waist and a slit on the side of the skirt that showed off her toned legs and strappy black heels. 

Kim Kardashian slayed the Met Gala on May 4, 2015, when she donned this Roberto Cavalli gown. The theme was "China: Through the Looking Glass," and her dress hugged her frame perfectly. It was completely sheer and had long sleeves and a feathered skirt while the entire frock was covered in sequins and gems.

Kim Kardashian stunned at the 2016 Met Gala celebrating "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" on May 2. She donned this metallic silver long-sleeve Balmain gown with a tight corset bodice that had an underwire bra. The rest of the dress flowed out into a sequined skirt with a slit on the side of her leg.

Kim Kardashian looked angelic in this skintight, white, off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown at the 2017 Met Gala celebrating "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between" on May 1, 2017. She went with a natural look when she wore this long-sleeve dress and kept her hair down and straight with minimal makeup on.

Kim Kardashian looked like a goddess in this skintight gold Versace gown at the 2018 Met Gala on May 7, celebrating the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" exhibit. The dress featured a super low-cut underwire bra that revealed ample cleavage, while the rest of the frock hugged her curvy frame perfectly.

Kim Kardashian turned heads in this Thierry Mugler dress at the 2019 Met Gala on May 6, 2019, celebrating "Camp: Notes on Fashion." The custom-made dress was meant to look like she had just gotten out of the water, and the dress had water droplets all over it while a plunging V-neckline tied the look together. The corset of the dress was skintight, revealing her tiny waist while the skirt was ruched along the lower half of the dress.
