The 'Schitt's Creek' Cast Through the Years
Award-winning sitcom Schitt's Creek debuted in January 2015 on Canadian broadcasting network CBC Television, running for six seasons and wrapping in April 2020. As the story goes, the series — created by father-and-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy (who also play father and son in the show) — was not an immediate hit. Its cult-following rise came in about 2017, after the show's debut on Netflix.
The show follows the Roses, a wealthy family consisting of patriarch Johnny (Eugene Levy), matriarch Moira (Catherine O'Hara), son David (Dan Levy), and daughter Alexis (Annie Murphy). After losing their family fortune, the Roses move to their one remaining asset: a small town called Schitt's Creek, which they bought years earlier as a joke. With their pampered lives behind them, though, the Roses soon learn the power of community — coming together to survive and discovering who they are along the way.
