Whatever you think of fashion of the '90s, its supermodels were always on point. So many of the decade’s most famous supermodels are either still in the industry, building their empires, or looking back on the incredible legacy they left behind.

A little over two decades ago, women like Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell were making history as two powerful black women who took the runway and covers of magazines by storm. Other models found that their career led to bigger things — like acting. Bridget Moynahan memorably turned her stunning looks to the small screen on the HBO series ‘Sex & The City,’ while other stars, like Christy Turlington, took their talents behind the camera later in their careers. Other models have chosen to live a quiet life, like Iman, who lost her beloved husband, David Bowie in 2016 after over 20 years of marriage. But these models, and more, have really led extraordinary lives and worked with some incredible designers and magazines. To see more '90s models and their transformations, check out the rest of the gallery.
