Don't Grabeez!

Another day, another food recall. Snack manufacturer Truly Good Foods has recalled some of its Grabeez snack mix sold in grab-and-go cups. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall on Sept. 24, 2024 over concerns that undeclared ingredients could potentially cause a serious or life-threatening reaction, and it affects snack mix sold in 8 regions. Here’s everything you need to know.

1. What’s Wrong With the Snack Mix?

Some packages of Grabeez brand The Big Cheese Snack Mix cups contain undeclared almonds and cashews, which can cause severe reactions in people who are allergic to tree nuts. A customer who purchased the product noticed that the product did not match the label, and instead contained Healthy Trails Mix. After an investigation, it was found that the mislabeled The Big Cheese Snack Mix cups were caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging system. Thankfully, no illnesses have yet to be reported.
