Buying frozen seafood is easy. Cooking frozen seafood is also easy, yet it seems a lot more daunting than it is. Not sure what to do with those frozen scallops in the back of the freezer? Inspired to use up that frozen shrimp but don’t know how? Take a look at these eight easy recipes for frozen seafood.

2. Seared Scallops

It’s not hard to nail a perfect scallop, but it’s incredibly precise. When done right, you can use them in pasta, stews, and definitely as the star of the show next to some veggies. Make sure these are defrosted fully before getting them in the pan.

If you've got an Instant Pot, a hour’s all you need for this bad boy. This recipe is tailored to frozen salmon, and you can easily toss some veggies in the oven while this is going, too.

8. Fish Taco Bowl

No established chef this time, my friends. This one is all me. I make this all the time, and it’s super easy. If you’re a Trader Joe's shopper, all you need is a few ingredients: Shredded green cabbage, cilantro dressing, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), pico de gallo, and any of the many options in Trader Joe’s frozen fish section. You’ll want something battered, like the nuggs


Toss some cabbage with the cilantro dressing. Air fry up some nuggets to the package’s directions and lay them on the cabbage. Then slice up some avocado, hit it with a little bit of pico and sour cream, and voila. A squeeze of lime goes a long way, too.
