Halloween Hunger

By the time Halloween rolls around this year, you're probably already drowning in fun-size candy bars and fighting over who gets the peanut butter cups. At that point, it's probably best to have some real food on Oct. 31.

Luckily for exhausted parents and sugar-strung-out kids everywhere, fast-food burrito chains always offer great deals on Halloween. The deals make planning dinner super easy and cheap, plus it might even be incentive for everyone in your family to throw on a costume. Here are all the cheap burritos you can get on Halloween.

Why Do Burrito Chains Have Halloween Deals?

Honestly, we have no idea! But it probably started with a Chipotle deal back in 2000 where if you came to the restaurant wearing a costume on Halloween, you got a burrito for free. Obviously that was a very popular deal (especially with students on college campuses!), so other burrito chains started imitating it, and it's just become some kind of weird burrito chain tradition. People love to dress up and grab a cheap burrito on Oct. 31 now.

Chipotle: $6 Booritos

No, Chipotle doesn't give away free burritos on Halloween anymore. The price has gone up steadily over the last 24 years, but the "Booritos" are still only $6. Just join the chain's rewards program, show up to a Chipotle anytime after 3 p.m. on Oct. 31 wearing a costume, and get an entree for $6. If you happen to live near a college campus, some Chipotle locations are staying open until midnight to satisfy the costumed masses.

Qdoba

Qdoba: BOGO Free Entree

Qdoba's Halloween deal is a little more complicated (but hey, at least you get free guac and queso all the time). If you buy an entree and a drink, you'll get a free entree. You'll need to be a member of the chain's rewards program to get it — it'll show up automatically as a reward in your account on Oct. 31 — but at least you won't have to find a costume.

Moe's Southwest Grill

Moe's: BOGO Free Entree

Moe's Southwest Grill is offering buy-one-get-one-free entrees on Halloween. You'll need to be a member of the chain's rewards program, but if you are, you'll get a free burrito (or bowl, quesadilla, nachos, etc.) when you buy one.

Rubio's

Rubio's: $9 Burritos

Burritos at Rubio's will be $9 on Halloween. You'll need to be a rewards member, but the deal is available all day long, so lunch burritos before trick-or-treating are an option. Order the deal online or in-person but showing your rewards account.
