He rose to fame in the 1970s, and his career has chugged along ever since. He’s been fresh in the spotlight again with a 2019 biopic (“Rocketman”), his autobiography (“Me: Elton John”), and collaborations with contemporary stars ranging from Lil Nas X (who also stars with him in wacky UberEats commercials) and Dua Lipa.
