With the holiday season in the rearview mirror, you may have a stack of unwanted gifts that need to be returned. But after all the shopping, wrapping, cooking, cleaning, hosting, and decorating, dropping off your returns at a parcel-delivery carrier may be the last thing you want to do. Enter Doordash. The food-delivery giant is expanding its service to include picking up packages and delivering them to UPS, Postal Service, or FedEx locations for just $5.
To use the service, open the DoorDash app, select Packages, and choose a carrier. Then, attach a prepaid shipping label to each package or send the DoorDash driver a QR code through the app — no label or box required. From there, a package pickup is requested and once your parcel is dropped off, the driver sends a photo confirming it's been delivered it to a Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx office for return to its final destination.

The service includes up to five packages at a time for just $5 or $3 for DashPass members (gratuity not included). As part of the launch of the service DoorDash is offering customers the first pickup for free but only through Jan. 31.
