Unearthed on eBay

You might remember hearing about the grilled cheese sandwich that looked like the Virgin Mary selling for $28,000 on eBay 20 years ago. You've probably seen some heart-shaped chips for sale, and maybe even a few off-the-wall items. Or perhaps you're a by-the-book eBay browser who didn't realize the site is a place people use to sell some seriously weird stuff.

Don't want to scour the site yourself? We compiled ten of the strangest items currently for sale on eBay.

World War I gold binoculars on eBay
eBay

1. Gold Folding Binoculars from World War I

Buy on eBay

Starting at $127

According to the seller, these folding binoculars are gold-plated and come with a leather case. The description says they have the words "Made for the Royal Navy" and "London 1917" on them with a ship logo, and that's the gist of the background of these bad boys. So while we're not willing to bet our lives on their authenticity, they are certainly pretty.

2. A Pregnant Bell Pepper

Bids start at $35, or $51 Buy it Now price

Now I'm wondering if the two intertwined carrots I bought a couple of weeks ago could have made me some loot on eBay. This seller sliced open an orange bell pepper and found a smaller green pepper inside, and is doing what any good Samaritan would do: keeping it in their refrigerator until someone shells out at least $50 for it.

Diaphonization Cat Paws

3. Diaphonization Cat Paws

Buy on eBay

$135 each

If you're into odd animal anatomy, you might find these kitty paws to be pretty neat. If you're outside of that ultra-niche group of people, though, your eyes probably widen at the sight of these jarred feline mitts.

slightly used bread ebay

4. A Slice of Bread, Slightly Used

Buy on eBay

$500

We can't help but appreciate the wording here. We have never taken a bite out of a piece of bread before and considered it "slightly used." We also admire the serious lack of context or description from the seller, especially with a $500 price tag tied to it. Bold.

Um. So. What are we looking at here? We're disturbed and we can't even rationalize why. Who needs these? What are they for? And will whoever buys these use them for good ... or for really weird stuff we can't even fathom?

6. Chest X-Rays From the 1960s

Buy on eBay

$36

We thought it was a little strange that you can buy chest X-rays from the 1960s on eBay, but after reading the seller's description, we've decided it's even weirder that they're hocking more than 700 of these images.

thief's crowbar for sale on ebay
eBay

7. A Thief's Crowbar

Buy on eBay

Starting at $1,474

At first glance, this looks sketchy as all get out. It gives serious "ditching the murder weapon" vibes. But in the description, the seller explains that a thief broke into his garage and stole childhood handhelds, consoles, and games that he was hoping to pass down to his kids. All the thief left was his crowbar, so he's trying to sell it to recover some of the costs of what was stolen from him.

Mary and Baby Jesus-shaped Hot Cheeto on ebay

8. Flaming Hot Cheeto Shaped Like Mary and Baby Jesus

Buy on eBay

$1,000

Is this one of those things where you're supposed to tilt your head to a precise angle and squint your eyes just so to see the resemblance? You either have to have an overactive imagination or a burning desire to get rich quick on eBay to pull this Hot Cheeto out of the bag and ask a grand for it.

grandma's holiday jam on ebay
eBay

9. Grandma's Jam

Buy on eBay

Bids start at $1 or Buy it Now for $5

Alright now. We loved our grandma's jam when we were growing up, too. Here's the difference: It was our grandma's jam. We're not paying for your grandmother's jam. We don't know you. We don't know her. And we're not going to cheat on our own granny for $5. The audacity.

10. Animal Crackers Doing ... Animal Things

Buy on eBay

$1,000

Ummmmm ... alrighty then. This one's not like the Hot Cheeto thing. It's clear what the insinuation is here, and it's definitely a little funny. But if you ask us, it's not giving the kinds of laughs worth $1,000.
