Colossal Campgrounds

When most of us picture RV parks, we think of places with a few dozen sites, maybe a nice burbling stream, and space enough to meet the neighbors if we want to or avoid them if we'd rather. The parks we're taking a look at here are not that — not by a long shot. These mammoth RV destinations are packed with campsites (even the smallest among them has more than 700 sites), amenities, and, usually, a very full social calendar. If you go camping for a peaceful experience with nature, avoid these spots. If, however, you're looking to stay someplace where you can pack bingo, bocce ball, billiards, your butterfly stroke, and — in some cases — even beachcombing all into one day, these are the parks for you.
