Sweets 'n Shakes

Wendy's has the ever-famous chocolate Frosty under its belt, but there may come a day when you're curious as to what else you should explore when the sweet craving hits. Thanks to Wendy's brand new Cinnabon Pull-Aparts and Orange Dreamsicle Frosty, there are now six different dessert options for you to choose from.

What's worth your money? I tried all six and found out.

Classic Chocolate Frosty

Best: Classic Chocolate Frosty

$1.99

There’s something timeless about a chocolate Frosty. It’s hardly the best milkshake on the planet, but it does the trick perfectly. The thick consistency is exactly what I'm talking about, and as somebody who loves to dip fries into a shake, it's incredibly enticing with a Frosty. At the end of the day, it's a classic chocolate shake. If you don't like those, I don't know how to help you.

Chocolate Chunk Cookie

2. Chocolate Chunk Cookie

$1.59

It's not the best chocolate chip cookie you'll ever eat, but it's still a chocolate chip cookie. You really have to work hard to screw one up, and Wendy's cookie gets the job done.

Fresh Baked Oatmeal Bar

3. Fresh-Baked Oatmeal Bar

$1.59

I'm stunned at what a huge sleeper hit this is. Has anybody ever ordered this? How is this even on the menu? Wendy's oatmeal bar is surprisingly full of flavor; the blueberries and cranberries are nice and sweet, and when paired with the bar's cinnamon and brown sugar flavors, everything really sings. Never in 1,000 years would I have considered ordering it.

Sugar Cookie

4. Sugar Cookie

$1.59

Is there anybody that really loves a sugar cookie? They're fine. Every one I've ever tasted has been just fine. I like the texture on the cookie — easy to pull apart but still toothsome enough to provide a nice chew — but it's still just fine. If I have to eat this again one day, it's fine. Everything's fine.

Cinnabon Pull-Apart

5. Cinnabon Pull-Apart

$3.69

I'm a massive Cinnabon fan, so I was looking forward to this one. Wendy's new Cinnabon Pull-Apart is a lot like a Cinnabon, but something’s off. The icing is more wet, yellow, and eggy. The bun itself is a little less moist and flavorful. It's not doing for me what I hoped it would, but I’m not sure cinnamon rolls were ever meant to be eaten out of a tiny cup alongside a burger.

Orange Dreamsicle Frosty

6. Orange Dreamsicle Frosty

$1.99

I'm only medium on creamsicle flavor, so I was never really the target demo for this one. It tastes pretty much exactly how you'd expect, but it lacks the type of vanilla-soaked cream that's required to make these drinks great. Wendy's version tastes artificial, generic, and dizzylingly sweet. I'd be surprised if even hard-core creamsicle lovers could make it to the bottom of the cup.
