Vizzy Hard Seltzer

Vizzy Varieties

With spiked seltzer brands in every direction you turn your head, trying to find your favorites can be an intimidating process. Vizzy Hard Seltzer has been around since 2020, offering hard seltzers boosted with vitamin C antioxidants. Is that something we need? There’s only one way to find out, so I grabbed two variety packs and tasted them all. Despite the fact that it’s manufactured by Molson Coors Beverage Company, the brewery behind Coors Light, this was far from the most pleasant experience of my life. Here are eight different Vizzy hard seltzers, ranked from best to worst.

Best: Black Cherry Lime

This is the most subdued flavor of Vizzy by far, and that's the sole reason I'm sticking it in the number one spot. Instead of bragging about all the antioxidants you've got, focus on your taste. Vizzy did that here. Consider this Vizzy’s one and only victory.

2. Blueberry Pomegranate

I don't normally vibe with blueberry stuff, but I don't mind this. I would have guessed this would end up in last place. No. 2 is a shock.

3. Pineapple Mango

Why does every brand have to have the same kinds of flavors? This tastes like every other pineapple and mango seltzer: heavy on the pineapple at first, and heavy on the mango to finish off. It's hilarious to me that these cans have “hint of" cheekily written in front of the flavors, to imply these flavors are in any way subtle.

4. Pomegranate Orange Mimosa

I suppose this will do. The mimosa flavor is gone in favor of something else I assume to be pomegranate. It's a little weird and doesn't taste like pomegranate to me, but over ice, this Vizzy mimosa hard seltzer isn't half bad.

5. Pineapple Orange Mimosa

Okay, you know what? This really does taste like a mimosa. I have to give Vizzy that one. I don't know how they pulled it off, because there's no bubbly in here. The first sip is very much a wow-this-really-tastes-like-a-mimosa moment, but after it fades, you're left with a sobering realization: Mimosas really aren't even that good. We only drink them because we can acquire them in bottomless quantities. The pineapple in this drink is thankfully not too strong, but the Stevia sure is.

6. Strawberry Kiwi

I've had better. I've had worse. This is fine. Vizzy seltzer has some serious work to do on its aftertaste. I see the word kiwi in the ingredients, but I do not see strawberry. I see cherry. Not sure what that's about.

7. Strawberry Orange Mimosa

It's a mystery to me that Vizzy decided to drop a mimosa pack, yet not one flavor in that pack is orange. All of them are orange plus another fruit, and somebody needs to explain to me why this is. All that said, it wouldn't be torture to finish one of these. Not a great review, but it's the best I've got.

8. Peach Orange Mimosa

Why is Vizzy sticking orange in this flavor at all? Peach and sparkling wine is already a drink. It's called a Bellini. This is so very, very sweet. I could never finish one.

Mighty Swell Spiked Seltzer

The Verdict

Hard Seltzers are all the rage and an obvious choice for an adult summer beverage, but Vizzy hard seltzers just weren't for me. I found them to be too sweet, overwhelming, and just generally not worth our time or money. Obviously taste is subjective, but with all of the other hard seltzer options out there, we'll be sticking to Truly hard seltzers, Corona hard seltzers, Topo Chico hard seltzers

What Alcohol is in Vizzy Hard Seltzers?

Although still classified as a flavored malt beverage (FMB), this distinction ensures that Vizzy Hard Seltzers are proudly gluten-free, offering a worry-free option for those with dietary preferences or restrictions.
