These Are the RV Shows You Don't Want to Miss

It's true that many of the top RV shows in the U.S. and Canada take place in the first half of the year. But if you missed your chance to drop by an expo in the winter or spring, don't worry, you've still got options. Whether you're in the market to buy, browse, window-shop, or just to enjoy the food and entertainment, RV shows are the ultimate summer destination for those who can't resist checking out the latest and greatest motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels. You haven't missed your chance at these late — but no less great — season RV shows coming up this summer and fall.

Tampa, Florida
More than 7,200 visitors flocked to the Tampa Bay Summer RV Show in 2018, and this year's event is shaping up to be at least as busy. Dealers like Lazydays and USA Luxury Coaches are part of the event, and goodies like $100 gift-card door prizes are all part of the fun. Tickets are $5 for adults, kids 16 and under are free, and parking is $8 for cars and $14 for RVs.

Tulsa, Oklahoma
From lightweight entry-level models to diesel-chugging luxury campers, the Green Country RV Show has it all. Bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, and family entertainment add to the excitement. Tickets are $9, although $2 reduced-admission offers are available online. Kids 12 and under are free.

Elkhart, Indiana
See the new 2019 models for the very first time in Elkhart, the town that bills itself as "the RV Capital of the World," at the Midwest RV Super Show. Hundreds of the newest RVs are on display, and where they're on display is half the fun. You'll be browsing and ogling just outside of the RV/MH Hall of Fame. The $10 admission fee — youths 15 and under are free with an adult — includes entrance to both the Hall of Fame and the show.

Minot, North Dakota
The Family Motor Coach Association 100th International Convention & RV Expo is back at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, where thousands of RVers will gather for the event's centennial celebration. There are several ways to attend, including RV camping and full access to the show for $225 per couple, which includes entertainment, exhibits, educational seminars, and more. There are also daily passports and gate entrance options.

Hershey, Pennsylvania
The theme of America's Largest RV Show is right there in the title. More than 1,400 RVs from over 40 manufacturers will be yours to explore, and you can learn while you browse by taking part in educational seminars. Visitors ages 13 and up are $8-$19, depending on the day of the show and when and how you buy. Parking and kids ages 12 and under are free.

Essex Junction, Vermont
The 17th annual Vermont State Fall RV Show offers free parking, free entry for children 16 and under with an adult, and tickets for everyone else for just $7. More than 50,000 square feet of outdoor RV displays ensures a huge selection and variety, and the offerings include pop-ups, motorhomes, travel trailers, pre-owned, and more.

Portland, Oregon
After 36 years, the Portland Fall RV & Van Show lays claim to the biggest RV expo in the Northwest. The Portland Expo Center is the largest show facility in the state, and more than 20 dealers will flood the site with fifth wheels, campers, tent trailers, tow vehicles, travel trailers, and class A, B, and C motorhomes. General admission is $10; kids 12 and under are free.

Fontana, California
Head to the Auto Club Speedway for the largest RV show on the West Coast, where more than 40 manufacturers will display more than 1,300 of their finest — and best-priced — specimens at the California RV Show. There's also live entertainment, plenty of food, and free parking. Tickets go on sale Aug. 12.

Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Now in its eighth year, the Sand and Water RV Expo holds the distinction of being the largest motorsports and outdoor exhibition in the Southwest — last year, more than 8,000 people attended. There's food, concessions, and a beer garden, and aside from RVs, you'll see boats, off-road vehicles, paddleboards, and camping, fishing, and hunting gear of all sorts. Entry is $5, kids 6 and under are free.
