If you’re somebody who has walked into a Domino’s or a Little Caesars for something besides pizza, we will never understand each other. But that’s OK; that’s your journey. My journey? It’s to help you figure out what’s worth spending your dough on. And if you’re looking to supplement your takeout with a special little treat (or even skip the pizza all together), Cheapism has your back. Here are the best non-pizza items to get at these eight popular pizza chains.
The Best Non-Pizza Things to Order From Pizza Chains
Domino's
Cheapism is editorially independent. We may earn a commission if you buy through links on our site.
Domino’s
Of any other pizza chain by far, Domino’s has gone the most off the rails with their menu. There are sandwiches, pastas, and they’ve even recently launched tater tots. What are y’all doing over there? Eye on the balls, folks. Luckily, none of it matters. Only my sweet, sweet, cinny twists matter.
California Pizza Kitchen
Not only is this the best non-pizza item at California Pizza Kitchen, it is the best item, period. No pizza in that very weird fusion restaurant can top this salad. There’s a reason Beverly Hills execs still eat this thing for lunch constantly, right out of the very location in which it was born. The CPK Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad is timeless.
Little Caesars
Little Caesars, which does not contain a possessive apostrophe, really has only one thing going for it anyway, and it’s the Hot-and-Ready. It’s still under six bucks and it can’t be beat.

Pizza Hut
Come on, now. Nothing that Pizza Hut is cranking out of its nasty little kitchen can compete with some fresh, hot cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon, aka the chain that makes them better than anybody else.
Sbarro
If there’s a more fun word to say than stromboli, I don’t know what it is. I also don’t fully know what stromboli is.
Papa Murphy’s
You’re not at Papa Murphy’s cause you’re in a rush, ya know? You’ve already chosen to pay money for a restaurant to not-cook your food, so might as well add another half hour onto the clock, and whip up some meatballs.
Papa John’s
I’ve never had one of these things. I don’t care. Are you kidding me with this? And now we got Doritos involved, cheating on Taco Bell? I really thought they were exclusive. Maybe they’ve got an open relationship.
Blaze Pizza
The truth is, there really isn’t that much going on at Blaze beyond just pizza. And if the options are between beer and salad, I’m going with beer. Sorry mom.
