The Malaga Inn, located in Mobile's historic district, oozes Southern charm and receives consistently solid reviews from guests on multiple fronts. For the very budget friendly price of about $59 per night, guests get free parking, free breakfast and free high-speed internet. There's also an outdoor pool on-site, and the property is located less than a half-mile from more than two dozen restaurants and a long list of cultural attractions including the Crescent Theater, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and also the Mobile Carnival Museum. Malaga Inn also received a commendable score of 88 out of 100 on TripAdvisor for being a good property for those who enjoy walking to attractions. "The people are so nice, it had a wonderful breakfast. The room was very cozy and the beds were the most comfortable ever. It was in a great downtown area. Very historical," wrote one happy guest on TripAdvisor.

This property, which can be found listed for $90 per night, has notably earned a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor. Hotels are awarded this certificate if they continually receive great reviews from travelers. Located on the Chena River, Pike's Waterfront Lodge offers free parking, free high-speed internet, and is known for its comfortable rooms and cabins (many of which offer scenic views). The nightly rate, which can be found for as low as $75, includes a continental breakfast featuring coffee, pastries, a waffle bar and seasonal items. "We absolutely LOVED our stay. We had a King Deluxe room and it was comfortable, clean and beyond expectations," raved one past guest on Booking.com. Other guests enjoyed the "cabin feel" of the rooms and complimented the property's friendly owners.

Location: Mountain View
Price: $99
Coming in right under $100 at $99 per night for a queen bedroom, the Wildflower Bed & Breakfast on the Square earned a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor and the site's top (5.0 score) based on overall guest reviews. The charming eight-room property is known for its plentiful homemade breakfasts each morning, which include biscuits and gravy, sausage and pancakes. Guests also enjoy free Wi-Fi, private en-suite bathrooms, and the property's convenient location. It is within walking distance of area restaurants, shops and a local music park where nearly every night there are musicians performing. "We booked a trip to the Wildflower Mountain View on a whim. The accommodations are incredible and exceeded everything you could hope for in a B&B," wrote one happy past guest. "Chris and Shelley made us feel right-at-home on the property and, even more, in the community. They plugged us into Mountain View in a very meaningful way through music and outreach. Their hospitality resulted in several new wonderful friends resulting in an overall experience that will keep us coming back."

"Tom, the manager went above & beyond with allowing us an early check-in, suggested a dinner location and made the reservation for us, which we enjoyed," wrote one past guest on Booking.com. "We were also provided sweet bakery treats to celebrate our anniversary. Loved that it was in walking distance to all the shops, tastings rooms and restaurants." Both Booking.com and TripAdvisor reviewers have overwhelmingly positive things to say about this colorful, quirky property that's about 26 miles from the iconic Mesa Verde National Park. Retro Inn also received a certificate of excellence on TripAdvisor for consistently earning positive reviews. The family-friendly property features a retro theme with nods to such legendary figures as Elvis Presley and Clint Eastwood in its decor and artwork. The grounds include lawn games such as horseshoes, lawn bowling, volleyball, and a giant chess board. There's also a public grilling area. Nightly room rates (which can be found for as low as $70), includes free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast (guests love the breakfast burritos).

Location: Uncasville

Connecticut is certainly not an easy place to find a hotel for under $100 per night. Among those in the budget category that also receive notable praise from past guests is the Hyatt Place Mohegan Sun, a property near the Mohegan Sun Casino. Highlights include spacious guest rooms with sofa beds and flat-screen televisions; free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and a fitness center. "The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed a great breakfast," wrote one guest on Booking.com. Beachfront rooms for less than $100 per night? Yes, please. Rooms at the highly rated Surf Club Oceanfront Hotel & Beach House can be snagged for about $89 per night at various times of the year. (The property is also a recipient of a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.) To make a stay even more budget friendly, each of the property's 48 rooms are kitchenette efficiencies that accommodate four guests — meaning if you split the cost, the rooms are even more of a bargain. When it comes to amenities, there's the obvious — a beach right out front. Beyond that guests will find a pool, hot tub, free high-speed Wi-Fi, free parking, and self-serve laundry on-site. There are also 25 restaurants within less than a half-mile. "King room was spacious, very clean, had nice furniture, big tv with lots of channels and unobstructed view of the beach! One of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in!" gushed one happy guest from Switzerland on Booking.com.

A previous guest notes that "The reason this hotel is so highly rated is because they take great care in ensuring that their guests never have to worry about anything." Described as a "hidden gem" and a "great find" by past guests, the White Sands Hotel is a vintage property that oozes retro charm with its styling and decor. Renovations are ongoing but you can see from the photos it looks great! The staff was super friendly, kids enjoyed the pool and I loved the sunblock and aloe dispensers at the pool!"

The suite was much larger than expected and made us wish that we had more time. Idaho falls was just a stop on a long trip, but after staying here we felt that we would definitely repeat this stay," wrote one past guest on Booking.com. Guest rooms, which can be booked for about $83 per night, include state-of-the-art Bowers & Wilkins Hi Fi, allowing for streaming your own music. The tech-forward rooms also feature Amazon Alexa and LED TVs. "The ACME was a refreshing stay. Perfect location to everything River North has to offer. I would definitely stay here again. Great cocktails in the lounge. Service was genuine and made the stay even better," one happy business traveler said on TripAdvisor.

Google Travel gives this Victorian bed-and-breakfast a rating of "very good." The property dates back to 1894 and is a short walk from the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. Location: Abilene

This award-winning property, which has been named Kansas Hotelier of the Year, is a full-service bed and breakfast in the heart of Abilene. Additional highlights include MP3 players, flat screen televisions, and free Wi-Fi. The property also gets high marks on TripAdvisor for its walkability: It's located less than a half-mile from more than two dozen restaurants and two dozen area attractions.

The hotel itself is a French Renaissance building in downtown about 3 blocks from the popular inner Harbor area. Amenities include high-speed internet, HD televisions, and an on-site bakery, tavern and rooftop bar.

In a cultural and historical mecca like Boston, finding a bargain hotel can be challenging. Located right near the University of Nebraska and also Lincoln's historic Haymarket District, this hipster hotel includes free high-speed internet, a pool, fitness center, a tiki bar and a game room. Added noteworthy features include the hotel being pet friendly and within walking distance of nearly 70 restaurants.

In a state that's home to Las Vegas, the hotel options are really limitless, and there's always a deal to be had. Deciding where to stay for less than $100 really just depends on what you're looking for. If it's a casino you're after, Paris Las Vegas is currently the top-rated budget offering on TripAdvisor at just $65 per night. Property amenities? Well they're endless, as is the standard in Sin City. Pool? Check. Fitness center? Check. Bars and lounges. Yes, of course. There's also restaurants by the dozen, and of course, being in the heart of Vegas, the property gets a 100 score for walkers. Because there's plenty to see and do no matter which way you turn.

The 12-room property is located amid the state's famed White Mountains and close to many local attractions including ski areas, hiking and swimming. The vintage, beachfront property, which receives 4.5 stars out of 5.0 on TripAdvisor, includes an onsite pool, free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and free parking. Rooms feature flat screen televisions, and kitchenettes. "I loved every detail of this cool retro 'doo wop' architecture hotel from the lava lamp in my room, to the pool, hot tub, fire pit and mini golf next-door. The staff was also really friendly and the price was very reasonable for a two-minute walk to the beach and boardwalk," one former guest wrote on TripAdvisor.
