Fido got you frowning every time you check your bank account and see how much Kibble is costing you? Amazon's upcoming Pet Day might offer a little relief on your furry (or feathery, scaly, prickly, slithery ...) friend-related expenses. Or, it might just entice you to buy things you don't really need for the pet in your life because you're a sucker for a good deal. Either way, the event is happening May 2 and 3 to commemorate National Pet Month.

@dollyparton I'm excited for Doggy Parton to team up with @amazon for Pet Day this year - 48 hours of deals on thousands of tail-wagging pet products that kicks off on May 2. Join me & @btkthefrenchie on @amazonlive for something special on May 2nd & 3rd #AmazonPetDay ♬ original sound - Dolly Parton

The sales event includes deals on more than just pet food and pet care products, too. Shoppers can score deals on electronics like the Furbo camera and treat dispenser, Shark vacuums and air purifiers, GPS trackers, and pet crates. As if that's not enough of a draw for pet parents, Dolly Parton (AKA America's Sweetheart) is participating in the event with her Frenchie god-dog (yes, really) Billy the Kid via Amazon Live. As such, Amazon shoppers will also find deals on the singer's line of dog accessories, Doggy Parton

What's more, you don't need to be a Prime member to snag Pet Day deals. All Amazon shoppers can participate in the sales event and customers who spend $25 or more will score free shipping.

While Pet Day promises to offer particularly tail-wagging deals, there are other ways Amazon shoppers can save on pet products outside of the event. Customers can create an Amazon Pet Profile for their animal companion to receive customized coupons, offers, and recommendations, or they can check out Amazon's Pet Deals page to find other discounts.
