Amazon Absurdity: Product Photos That'll Have You Scratching Your Head (or Laughing It Off)

Do strangely photoshopped Amazon product images really bug the crap out of you? Because like these Redditors, who devoted a whole thread to complaining about it, we find it distracting. Recently, a dress even went viral on TikTok for looking drawn on with markers. Here are some strange and downright bizarre images we came across while shopping on Amazon, and some of the descriptions aren’t much better.

The company writes under the product: “It is our great pleasure to serve our customers. If you have any questions you need, you can e-mail us and we will reply you in time for 12 hours.” Yeah, we have a few questions.

Is nobody noticing those bizarre, sparkly fingernails poking out like claws? They don’t match up with the fingers and there is one nail missing. We are confused.

Color us not surprised that this pool was not the size depicted. This photoshop fail is so bad even our preschooler could have done it.

More authentic reviews said the carrier was lightweight and small. But really, could anyone buy this after the company thought adding a glammed up cat would be a good idea? 

No one seems to care that the kid is definitely not really playing those drums. In fact, it looks like she's using telepathy to make those drumsticks levitate, but maybe that’s just us.

We were too distracted by all the photo editing fails — the “dad” “throwing” a ball, the weird shadows, the badly edited children — to even analyze the actual product.

Our first thought: Did that laser beam shrink those animals via Dr. Evil?

Somewhat surprisingly, a number of the reviews for this chew rated it highly, but we are having trouble telling if it’s an actual dog toy.

What is happening here? It looks like wires are holding the dress up and out, and someone colored over the original with a black marker.

Says a reviewer: “It’s not as good as it looks.” That’s a serious, not sarcastic, comment — so these photos are fooling someone.
